Our process… A complete job from start to finish!
Concrete Installation
Removal and Excavation: Our first step is to remove and haul away the existing surface (old concrete, asphalt, dirt, etc.) We own and operate all of our equipment which ensures a fast and efficient job.
Fine Grade: The next step is to finish grade the existing soil. To ensure the strength and integrity of the new concrete, we fine finish grade the existing soil with a 2×4 to ensure a very level surface. We also run a vibrating plate compactor over the finished grade to compact and tighten the soil.
Identify and Reinforce Stress Points: Once we identify the stress joints we reinforce them by digging out and around the weakness to provide for a thicker area of concrete and place re-bar diagonally across to help strengthen the entire area.
Steel Reinforcement: All our slabs come with proper steel reinforcement. Wire mesh is standard but we also provide the option of upgrading to re-bar mesh grid 18×18 inches on center.
Placement of Cement: All our concrete either meets or exceeds standard guidelines. In fact, our minimum standard is a 2,500PSI concrete mix and, for more demanding environments, use a 4,000PSI concrete mix. All our finishers are highly experienced to provide for proper drainage and fall by utilizing a laser to set all our grades and elevations.
Expansion Joints: Proper placement of expansion joints is vital. We put in more expansion joints than our competition and depending on the situation may put in both hand and soft-cut joints. We also specialize in diamond and decorative cuts with beveled edges.
Clean Up: We leave every job completely clean and take this part of the process very seriously.
Interlocking Pavers Installation
Removal and Excavation: Our first step is to remove and haul away existing surface (old concrete, asphalt, dirt, etc.) Wer also remove an additional 2″-12″ soil to give a stronger foundation to support the pavers. We own and operate all of our equipment which ensures a fast and efficient job.
Geo-textile: To provide stability and strength, all our jobs include a geo-textile fiber mesh. This fiber mesh also acts as a barrier to keep out unwanted weeds and unwanted plants.
Base Material: We meet and exceed all Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute Standards and the crushed aggregate base is compacted for proper drainage and strength. Don’t be short changed! This is what sets us apart from our competition and ensures lifelong enjoyment from your pavers.
Commercial applications – Vary depending on specifications (base aggregate material)
Sand: We meet or exceed all Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute Standards. We install and screed 1″-1½” layer of sharp angled sand in preparation of concrete or clay pavers.
Pavers: Our highly experienced crew will ensure proper placement of concrete or clay pavers. All paving stones are placed by hand for a proper fit. Then, a vibrating plate is passed over the stones to lock them in place.
Border Stone: All our borders are set in concrete to ensure a proper border and foundation for your new pavers. This will protect your paving stones from shifting.
Sand Joints: This is where we lock in your pavers permanently. Our highly experienced crew will use a vibrating plate to push sand into the joints and lock the pavers in to place. Additionally, we use joint/sand sealer to keep the locking sand from washing away.
Clean Up: We leave every job completely clean and take this part of the process very seriously.
